online franchise: announcers stuck in april

hey all, just wondering if anyone else is getting this, we are in July now in our online franchise and the announcers always say that its the opening game of the season for nearly every game, constantly talking about stats in april, players hoping their bats will travel north with them after spring training, and park effects like the Ivy in wriggly not growing even though we are in July.

Is this my own unique vacuum of annoyance or is everyone/anyone else seeing this as well?

perhaps someone knows of a fix?

Now. It's how it is. How about veteran players getting their first career hits? Love that one. It's good to know they have no intention of ever making online franchise what it should be. I wish EA would jump back in.
