Roster Creation for NFL Teams

I need some help to emulate each NFL franchise in how they build their roster: through the draft(most likely to trade down or up), heavy or light on free-agency, rely on undrafted FAs or not. That sort of stuff.

It may be common knowledge to some on this forum, but I think this would generate a good discussion.

Green Bay is a draft and develop team. Definitely not a free agency team. They usually keep their high draft picks and rarely trade down. Will pick up a big name free agent about once every decade. Has good success with undrafted free agents such as Sam Shields and along their offensive line. Routinely finds quality starters throughout the draft not just their higher picks.

The Giants are a team that occasionally targets big name free agents, but mostly target lower key, but potentially high reward free agents, such as Rashad Jennings, J.T. Thomas, Robert Ayers, and Geoff Schwartz in recent years. They are better known for developing players through the draft and have had some success with undrafted players through the last couple of years

Atlanta: they tend to do different things every coaching change. In the past few years they have been a draft and develop team, but with little success. They are willing to sign known free agents but most are pass their prime. They tend to sign free agents that can fill a role. They will trade up in the draft if there is a guy they want, see Juilo Jones. They have had a few undrafted guys make an impact.

New England: they do it all but will not over pay. They will sign name free agents but most come at value after a bad season or has some issues. They move around the draft but try to go with a value approach. They will allow there own players to leave before they over pay for them. They do a good job of finding undrafted players that do well for a year or two before disappearing.

Dallas has a reputation for bringing in big name, expensive FA's, but this just isn't the case anymore. The only player that really fits that bill anymore is Brandon Carr. Yes we pulled in Rolando McClain & Greg Hardy but both of those players are on very low-risk one-year contracts.

Lately (Past 5 years or so) Dallas has been strictly following their draft boards & taking the BPA, hence the 3 first round O-Linemen. Dallas does really well in the first round (exception: Morris Claiborne) & has turned several late-round & UDFA's into competent starters (Scandrick[5th], Beasley[UDFA], Romo[UDFA], Church[UDFA], !!La'El Collins[UDFA]).
