Walk off HR first ML game

Topic says it all pretty much.

I spent my entire first season in aa and aaa. During that season I hit a grand total of 6 HRs.

Started the next season on the bench in the majors and finally about a month into the season I got a start. Low and behold in my very first major league game I hit a walk off homer!

Had to brag somewhere, lol.

Re: Walk off HR first ML game

Actually I just looked back, I managed to more hr then I remembered in the minors, I got 9.

I'm using directional with dynamic difficulty I think that's currently at all-star, it vacilates between that and veteran. Also I am using "realism" sliders that I actually got off of these forums as well.

I discovered something interesting in using those sliders and settings I found here. I always struggled like crazy in any baseball games with swinging at everything, I couldn't get a walk to save my life. But after I toggled off the option to see the borders of the strike zone I almost immediately found myself able to lay off balls.

Its amazing and contradictory but for some reason not having the square to show the exact strike zone border somehow freed me up to actually judge balls and strikes, weird huh.

Walk offs feel so good in this game. Especially when you are losing. You literally feel like you are actually hitting it. I hit one with Troy Tulowitzki in a game against my brother and when he hit it, i dropped my controller like a batter would drop the bat and put my arms up.

Re: Walk off HR first ML game

Had a cool experience like that with Joc Pederson. Had him pinch hitting in a 0-0 game for my fantasy drafted Padres. First pitch ropes it into the gap over the fence for the HR. Unfortunately the game was too worried with the walk off animation that it forgot to mention it was his first. Still pretty cool to walk it off on the first pitch of the inning.
