CPU adjusting rosters and lineups on their own?

So I'm new to the Show as this is my first year with the game. I've been experiencing something very frustrating in franchise mode and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or this just happens. So I've downloaded the OSFM rosters and I've edited the lineups (Cubs) for example. I will move some of the players off the team that are actually on AAA and visa versa to MLB. So I save the rosters and I will create a franchise and I go to the Cubs roster and the CPU put the players I moved to AAA back onto the MLB roster and the whole lineup changed. They moved Addison Russell out the lineup but I set all the lineups with him in it. This also happened when I put Carlos Gomez on AAA cause of injury and used the same lineup and when I loaded the franchise he was back on the MLB roster. Now do they just do that automatically or am I missing something? I'd greatly appreciate it if some one could help me because it's very frustrating when I want a realistic roster without having to turn on CPU roster control. Thank you

Is this happening for only your team or for all teams? and if it is happening for all teams, do you have 30-team human control enabled? The game should not be changing the lineups on you when you start your Franchise. But when you first start it you will be in Spring Training with 40-man rosters and if you fast forward out of Spring Training into the Regular Season without parring every team down to their respective 25-man rosters, the game will do this 40-man down to 25-man rosters for you and it will also auto adjust the lineups for what it considers to be the most optimal lineups. If you want to control the lineups and who is on the 25-man MLB squads, don't worry about doing this from the OSFM roster file, do the editing from inside of the Franchise preferably before you transition from Spring Training into the Regular Season. But you can also do all of this at any time during the Regular Season.

Yes it is happening to every team. Like I said I adjusted the lineups for other teams and now they are totally different now. But yes I did sim the pre season and that seems to have changed the lineups like you have suggested. I wasn't sure if there was a way to not have the lineups change without enabling roster control. Because enabling roster control disables trades correct? I just wanted the lineups to be realistic

I does not effect me because I am a Season mode player with 30-team control and I only react to the big real world trades. However I do believe some of the Franchise people here are using 30-team control with two PSN profiles so that they can have control all 30 teams but still get the CPU to initiate trades. Something you might want to look into if this is important to you. But remember, as the season progresses the CPU will be adjusting the daily lineups as it inserts rested players into the lineups for players who are tired and need a day off. 2430 games in a season is an awful lot of games to try and manage in terms of lineups. Eventually we just need to let the CPU handle this aspect of the game. Most of the time, it's managing the rosters in a fairly realistic manner.

Re: CPU adjusting rosters and lineups on their own?

When you move from Spring Training into the season, either via simming or playing the games, it's very likely your lineups will be changed. The CPU always does that to me, and has for years.

If the concern is that they will take a player that you want on the MLB roster and move him into the minors, the best solution is to move anyone you don't want on MLB (but who is on your 40 man) onto the AAA or AA team yourself during Spring Training. It's not full proof, but its a good start.

Beyond that, if you sim games during franchise, the CPU will absolutely change and set lineups day to day as it sees fit due to resting guys.

Okay, maybe I will just turn on CPU roster control and then just make real world trades as they happen during the season. Thanks for your inputs guys I really appreciate it, wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong or it just happens. Thanks!
