TV Settings

I feel like videos and pictures of people playing look better than mine. I have a Samsung LED tv. What settings do you guys have on your tv to make the game look so good?

Make sure you are in 1080p res on the PS4, have your TV either calibrated or use the stock "movie mode" picture setting. Any enhancements built into the TV to make the picture "look good" like edge refinement and all other weird jargon, turn that crap off.. The less processing the TV has to do, the better

Hope this helps

Thanks. Yeah I know all that stuff already. But for whatever reason when I watch a video, especially a day game, it looks better than mine. Maybe it's all in my head, but it's driving me crazy tinkering with different setups.

Most likely the resolution of the video you're watching.

Simple solution? Go and play the greatest sports game ever made instead of watching videos of it. 😝

Re: TV Settings

Go here and keep in mind that their settings might not look good to you personally. Its just a good place to get a start and then set your own settings.

Wow. It's gonna take a while to get used to these settings. They have backlight at 5. Mine was at max. It feels like there's no lights on.

calibrated tv's are not for games. Those settings are for critical movie watching.

If you have a Samsung LED tv....Put game mode first as it is required on Samsung tv's

In game mode put the following

Back Light 17-18
Contrast 100
brightness 45
sharpness 0-10
Color 55

Screen Fit

Dynamic Contrast Med
Gama -1
Color at Auto
Black Level at Low
If you have a recent Samsung then Smart LED setting at medium
Cinema Black at YES

Those will be excellent for Samsung LED tv as it will give you pop in colors and good contrast. Not recommended for tv or movie watching. Just for games

The White Balance leave at default
