can someone explain the the shooting stat in live?

does this stat determine how good of a shot something is going to be?

example. lets say a player had a 90 sht and a 79 3pt , will this mean that his 3 point shots will be accurate? compared to a player who has a 79 shot and a 79 3pt?

or is it all in relation to the midrange and etc?

The mid range scale is different than the 3pt scale.

Shot quality is the most important thing to make shots!
Guarded/contested, off the dribble...(these are modifer to the actual ratings)

best is a open, catch and shoot jumper.

an 80+ shooting rating is good, only the top ten shooters have 90+ ratings.

It doesn't matter if you have 92 shooting and 97 three point shooting, the game wont let you hit **** unless you are at least 10 feet away from any defender, stopped and perfectly squared towards the basket, and THEN also timed your release perfectly. They will shoot 67% from the field though, and double your rebound total. But unless you run a play, get wide open, and take a perfectly formed shot, even Klay Thompson will be about as accurate as an 11 year old playing NJB basketball.
