Celtics spoil Nets home opener

Brooklyn,NY-The Brooklyn Nets squared off with the Boston Celtics monday night in the season opener. It was not pretty for Nets fans, who are hoping for a good season, but are expecting the worst. Getting beat by a team like the Celtics does not look good, as the Celtics are not expected to make the Playoffs. The Nets were led by an unexpected player. That player was Alan Anderson. Anderson had 13 points, and also had 4 rebounds in the Nets loss to the Celtics. Coach Hollins said after the game that "Anderson was a bright spot in a very very dark room. We are going to need to play a lot better than that to be able to contend this year. I hope the team contends, but our main goal this year is to get younger." When asked about Deron Williams not starting, coach Hollins said "It was not just my decision. Management and I talked for a while, and decided that this needs to be a team first type of team. If Deron has a problem with my coaching, or the front office than he will have to talk to them. I sure hope that he sacrifices his playing time for some wins." The Nets will be in action again Thursday night as the head to Atlanta, and try to get the first win of the year.
