High-post offence

Is it possible for me in this game to use an offence centred around passing from the high post? What plays would I need to run?

Many thanks in advance.

Re: High-post offence

It is possible. Run a lot of horns plays, where the big man gets the entry pass first. This gives you the option of attacking with the big or continuing with the play and passing.

I also like the freelance 2-3 zone offence since it puts a big at the high post for easy pick & roll options + high post action.

Thanks.

How do you run freelance sets, by the way? Not totally sure.

When on offense press Left d-pad, then off strategy. You can scroll through the types of offenses (3 out 2 in, 4 out 1 in, triangle, swing, pace - miami heats 4 out movement offense where all positions set picks, and the 2-3 zone) and then set the types of actions in it (Space the floor - does what it sounds like, motion cuts - sends players on cuts, and free lance actions - calls simple actions for scoring, e.g picks, floppys, give n' gos etc).

Also something people don't know, is if you call quick play (L1 on PS4) before halfcourt it will call a play from the playbook, if you press it after halfcourt it calls a quicker freelance play that is chosen based on where the players are on the court. So if a big if still walking up to the 3 point line as you call a freelance play, it might go with a swing play through him. Your POE on offense, and plays assigned to players also dictate which actions happen

I personally run the swing offense with Freelance actions. The swing offense, like the pace and triange is started with passes. As you bring it up you can pass it to either wing, the big man, the post.. and it will start a variety of optional actions. Practice them all in Scrimmage mode.
