Buffeye 2014 Re-Rated Roster For XBOX 360

UPDATE 2-21-2015: Updated Roster uploaded to EA Locker (ArtD01). All previous changes still in effect. This update includes the reversal of Coach Offense Tendency data, found in the EDIT COACHES OFFENSIVE STYLE option. Now, when you click on the Right Side Arrow in the Run Offense/Pass Offense option to increase the White Slider value to the right, you will see the Left Side Number increase. Moving the White Slider to the Right increases Run Tendency and moving it to the Left Increases Pass Tendency. The Slider function has not changed - only the display of the two numbers to be consistent with the numbers depicted for the other tendency sliders.

I have just uploaded my re-rated version of Buffeye's 2014 NCAA14 Roster for the XBOX 360. The baseline for this re-rated Roster is Buffeye's 2014 Roster which I downloaded on 12-28-2014. All ratings for all players on all teams have been re-rated, based upon formulas which I have developed and implemented via the Editor and Excel.

This Roster can be downloaded from my Locker under Gamertag "ArtD01". If I update any of these ratings, I will post a note at the top of this Original Post location to indicate the nature and date of the update.

My ratings strategy is built upon the following factors:

1. Overall lower ratings.

2. Compressed ratings ranges, with no rating lower than 46.

3. Emphasis upon critical ratings for each Player Position.

4. De-emphasis of ratings which are not important to each Player's Position.

These ratings were developed to enhance play in Coach Mode, based upon my views of what constitutes interesting game play. No consideration has been given to accuracy of statistics or how teams might perform under Arcade-style play. I do not plan to use this Roster for Dynasty play, although I may attempt a Single Season with this Roster.

Comments are welcome, especially by other Coach Mode players.

Many thanks to Buffeye and others who did the work to develop this Roster. My re-ratings are in no way intended as a critique of their efforts in rating players for this Roster.

I am just starting to play NCAA. I just bought it, I only watched NFL for the past 3 years so College is new to me this year. I want to ask is this as roster with current players and depth charts?

This is a re-rated version of Buffeye's 2014 Season Roster - which means that the Roster contains players from the 2014 NCAA season just completed. Example: Blake Sims at QB for Alabama.

All my Play Sliders are set to 50. Penalty Sliders are set to numbers around 50.

I did not create the Roster - that extensive body of work was done by Buffeye and several of his compatriots and appears to have taken a number of months to complete. I waited until their work was done, then downloaded their complete roster and applied my re-rating strategy.

When someone completes a 2015 Season Roster, I will probably perform a similar custom rating strategy. Until then, I will continue to experiment with Buffeye's 2014 Season Roster and probably post some updated ratings as I play Coach Mode games.
