Since i'm doing a Lakers GM Mode, was wondering is there anyone out there that would love to share what they did with their team so far. With me I traded for Nikola Vučević from the Magic. I know he would never be traded in real life but I needed a legit low post presence and he the best big man I had on the Lakers since Pau Gasol. Since I run the triangle offense he fits perfectly.

I traded for Michael Gilchrist since I needed a legit defensive presence in the lineup and he does the job and so much more. Along with those two trades I ended up firing Byron Scott and Johnny Davis. Last but not least I traded for Dennis Schroder, thabo sefolosha and John Jenkins so I can have some depth off the bench and a young point guard in my starting lineup.

I traded away bad contracts and some picks ( to the Magic and Hawks). Still trying to decide on what to do with Julius Randle since I don't think he'll fit with this team but time will tell. Currently 3-5 in my gm mode.

At this point I think anyone on this site have done a better job in 2k rebuilding teams then Jim have done in the past 3 years. Some of these trades was just trades I made to see how I could take advantage of the AI. I have two GM modes with one being a more realistic one and one being this one I'm doing now.

I'm starting my Lakers MyGM mode and I'm not planning on making any trades til the time calls for them. In all honesty, the way the team is structured Steve Nash's expiring contract would be the one I deal away with, but I'm not about to take advantage of the A.I. if they were to agree to a trade because it's just to going to be realistic cause he it ain't happening in reality. What I am going to do is once Nick Young returns from his thumb injury is hope that along with Kobe and Wesley Johnson and Jordan Hill that the Lakers can play well enough on both ends of the floor to get a 6-8 seed in the playoffs. I'm going to develop Randle and I'm going to make sure that Clarkson gets minutes cause he is going to end up being the steal of the NBA Draft.

In the offseason I'm going to put my focus on either Kevin Love or Rajon Rondo and I'm going to do everything to get Kobe to sign one more extension but this time giving back to the organization and taking less money so that I can go out and get Durant or Westbrook or another top free agent to get him ring number 6 or by then he should be able to break Kareem's record.
