How good is this game?

I haven't played a college basketball game in ages, but the last one I played was NCAA 10. I don't have it anymore and recently I've felt the need to play a college basketball video game. I can either get 2K8 for $20 or NCAA 10 for $40 and I've decided if I were to get one it would be 2K8.

How is the overall gameplay? The last basketball video game I've played was NBA 2K14 on PS4 so it might feel like a bit of a downgrade, but I'm willing to accept that because I love the dynasty mode in NCAA football and I have a feeling I'll enjoy it in 2K8 as well.

This game is still absolutely excellent. There is so much you can do and so many ways to freshen up the gameplay. You made the correct choice. Enjoy

If you like recruiting in NCAA football you will be blown away with recruiting in CH2K8. The ABL and recruiting of non senior HS talent. Also a very strong dynasty mode. Still an absolute great game. Of course if you recently played 2K14 the graphics will be aged but if you want the other depth of the game the graphics are acceptable

It's worth it for the legacy mode, IMHO, though the gameplay and graphics are arguably dated at this point. Nevertheless, it's one of the only console games I play these days, and I'm still playing it after 6+ years, so that must say something.

Keep in mind that I've never played a next-gen console, so that might make the "downgrade" more dramatic than it is for me.
