It was a VERY good year for "untraditional" sports games (in my opinion). I know Madden is as good as it's been in some time, but the bigger franchises that I sink countless hours into (NHL, MLB, NBA) were all lackluckster. Or in NHL's case: horse manure.

I voted Mario Kart 8 because it's the most fun sports-related game I've played all year.

Honorable mention to The Golf Club for tireless post-release support.

IMO MLB & NBA 2K were the best gameplay wise & for the most part most complete current gen titles. I went with MLB due to my bias towards baseball in general.

I have got to say FIFA 15 has been the best game overall. It is just so solid and complete. It's hard for any game to match it. In my opinion, it is the only EA title that hasn't seemed to have an off year in the past couple.
