NeverEnough Presents: Buzz City | A Charlotte Hornets MyGM Experience (NBA 2K15)

Let me just preface this with saying I'm a middle of the road basketball fan at best and have never done a franchise/dynasty/whatever for a basketball game. I've done a few Football ones on OS before and that's where I usually reside, but after taking a long break from that I decided to do something different. I'm from Washington and was hugely into the Sonics growing up and after they moved I somewhat fell off with basketball, although still usually follow the Thunder (yeah I'm in the minority on this one) enough to somewhat know how they're doing. I always catch the NBA playoffs though as that's always great fun to watch.

As for how this is going to go. For now I'm going to go with the play 1 game sim one game philosophy and see how that goes. I chose to do MyGM because I felt it offered some fun aspects and since I'm not super die hard with basketball I don't care about the 30 team control as I do in baseball or football. So I suppose that's it for now, if you have any comments, questions, suggestions, etc. always feel free to PM me or post in here. Thanks!

Re: NeverEnough Presents: Buzz City | A Charlotte Hornets MyGM Experience (NBA2K15)

Rich Cho Ousted Yet Again

Whatever the reasons may be, Rich Cho just isn't long for the position of general manager. Cho originally an intern with the Seattle Supersonics in 1995 while finishing a law degree from Pepperdine University and was later hired in 1997.

From there he would serve in a few different positions and even made the trip to Oklahoma City when the team was sold and allowed to relocate. After a couple seasons under the Thunder, Cho went back north and became the 9th general manager of the Portland Trailblazers. Unfortunately for Cho that lasted less than a year, but found his feet with the Charlotte Bobcats.

Even with the improvemnt last season, however, management felt that with the change back to the Hornets, it was time to move on to a new manager. Enter Korey Mison. Mison is somewhat of a parallel of Cho, as he too previously worked with the Thunder organization, as well as being somewhat successful in business management positions prior to basketball.
