What about NBA players that wear Nikes and Jordans?

So I know players that have endoresemt deals like Westbrook and Irving are lock for Jordan or Nike respectively, but for players that don't...why lock them to a certain brand? Especially for players like Terrence Ross, Nick Young, P.J Tucker, Wilson Chandler, Eric Bledsoe, etc since they frequently interchange between both brands. You can't replicate that because it locks them to one or the other.
