Penalties?

Hello all,

I know penalties, or lack thereof, were an issue with the last few versions on last-gen. After the various tuner updates on NHL 15 (current gen), are you seeing a decent amount of penalties? Or is it still an issue?

The lack of penalties was all but a game-killer for me on last gen...

Re: Penalties?

With Computer Penalties set to Max and the Oenalty slider all the way up, I am seeing a good amount of penalties on the game; as much as 7 Penalties for the CPU and I take somewhere around 6 or 7 penalties per game. It's quite even.

Re: Penalties?

I had 10 PPs just a game or two ago; get 5 and 6 PPs pretty consistently; probably average 3-4 per (15-min periods).

CPU's numbers are lower than mine (they usually get 2 or 3 per game), though I'm a pretty clean player and don't make many mistakes.

Re: Penalties?

On 13 minute periods penalties are random but I can't remember a game that there have been none.

Re: Penalties?

I still only get tripping calls and the occasional slashing call. Blatant interference, check from behind, charging, what not, I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN IT CALLED FOR OR AGAINST.
Goalie interference is still set up as the most ridiculous thing ever.

Re: Penalties?

Hi ,
Start on page 5 and if you can ignore the verbal attacks and whining of entitlement the last five pages have some solid facts and info and I even posted how I got them with visual boxscores as proof so theres no dispute and I posted sliders too when it was demanded and stats dont lie .

It still amazes me people gut sliders to zero that only have a depth of 6 clicks and then complain the cpu doesnt shoot enough ect

Any way hope this helps as I just enjoy games for what they are .

Re: Penalties?

To put it simply, I think the number of penalties have improved, but I think there is still plenty of room for improvement. I would also like to see more of a variety of penalties called. Hooking, tripping, elbowing, too many men, embellishing, roughing, boarding, high sticking (double minors as well), cross checking, etc. should all be called. Maybe they could add animations for penalties like embellishment and only make it occur once in a while. But of course, have an option to turn these off.

Outside of embellishing and too many men (are those in the game?), I see all of those on the regular.
