CPU Tag problems

So I usually run my Universe by just letting it play out in the background as I do work on my computer - a nice compromise I've found as life gets busy. I simulate through Extreme Rules, reset all rivalries and everything, then let it fly and let the CPU decide pretty much everything.

But this year I'm finding that hard because watching a tag match is impossible. The outside partner begins to come in as the in-ring partner is being pinned, wayyyyy quicker than the partner of the man pinning, and breaks it up before there is even a 2-count. It took me forever to get through a Shield/Rhodes Brothers match because one of the Shield was always breaking up the pin uncontested. The only way it ended was because Cody hit the outside ground for some reason (I stopped paying attention because it took forever) and Reigns got a pin. If not, I'd still be watching.

Any workaround for this? Anyone else even noticing it?

I noticed this playing the 6 man tag in the HHH/HBK showcase. I must have hit 25 finishers and it took me almost an hour. Not only does the other guy get in quicker but even if your guy gets in first he's never able to
Intercept.

They should either remove
Run ins or put a limit on them
somehow. Like remember how you used to only be able to use ring escape 3 times? Well calling your partner in should be manual and should have a limit.

Yea - the human tag guy comes in like molasses and a full second later.

saw this blatantly in the first tag match i played yesterday. crazy how anyone testing wouldnt notice it immediately. the only workaround is to punch the opponent partner off the apron before you go for your pin. your tag partner is slow and delayed, and if they even get in the ring they are stupid.

I did hear someone say you can switch at anytime using the touchpad. going to try this later, maybe can switch after the finisher and manually come in as the tag partner. if that worked well it could be a workaround.

Oh I'll have to check the manual bc that would seemingly fix the problem.

Yeah I just found out the other day by randomly pressing buttons that the touchpad on PS4 will switch guys in tag matches (at least in Universe mode). I figured there had to be someway to do it. And yes that is exactly what I do, hit the signature/finisher, switch guys, and take out the dude on the apron before he can make a save.

Still doesn't fix the issue with CPU vs. CPU matches though.
