Coach firing in online CFM

Hi guys, maybe there's been a thousand threads about this but none answers precisely to what I'd like to know.

I'm the commish of an online league (coach mode forced), coach firing is off, but I'm wondering about setting it on.

- Can a coach be fired during the season? Or it's always during off-season?

- As we all are in coach mode, do we get to choose the new coach or Madden picks one for us? Is it a real life coach or a generated one?
