Anyone having massive difficulties shooting online

I've played a few games in a row now where shooting has been very, very, very difficult. I'm getting pretty close to the perfect release spot, wide open, with decent shooters (Mike Dunleavy and Doug McDermott most notably), and I am not only missing shots, but getting very poor shot grades. I've been wide open with a slightly early release and getting D+ ratings. Any thoughts as to what's going on? I'm all for more realism, but D+ grades for open shooters with a good (although not perfect) release just seems punitive. Thoughts?

Yes, I have trouble making shots online depending on how bad the lag is.

Yes and it is ruining the experience for me. I hate to say it but shooting hard. Its almost impossible to for someone to get hot and hit multiple shots. I'm not sure whose idea it was to make shooting extremely difficult but its not even close to being realistic.

Players in real life miss open shots but not at the frequency that it occurs in this game and I'm not talking about 3 pointers. I'm talking about mid range as well. I know for a fact the developers aren't hitting shots. This isn't a "E" for everyone game at the moment.

2k needs to go back to the old system where shot selection was the dominant indicator of shot success. It was a cool idea to try to make the shot success up to player but it proves more unrealistic than anything. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this game breaking issue.

One more thing to add. The servers dont even functioning appropriately for this new way of shootong to even work. Its already hard to get a perfect release. Add input lag into that equation and you just have frustration

Totally disgreed. This game required SKILLS to make shot...it required timing and if you can't make the shot...it means you ain't good at timing. The old system where you automatic make shots because you're open? lol..that's not skills. I want a game where it required skills to win games, not gimmicks. As far as online and timing. Sure there is some lag...as there is always lag in any game....but you still need to determine how much time you need to hold before you release the shot. This is all part of skills. I have played over 200 online ranked games so far and i have no problem with timing. There are games where it is extremely laggy though. But the main thing is...if i don't make the shot, i don't blame on the game, i blame on myself and I blame on connection.

most likely you're not getting perfect releases as clearly seen and are you shooting from cold spots on the court?shooting from cold spots lowest your grade and shooting on the move when your player having low moving sha rating lowers your grade

The shooting system is pretty good this year, it is just the input delay online kills any chance of actually getting perfect releases at rate similar to offline. Offline I can get a perfect release 90% of the time wide open. Online is like 2%.

And thats why shooting in 2k14 is better. This was the worst system they could've came up with. If you don't get perfect release, you will miss majority of your shots. This game is trash as **** online. Imma stick to 2k14 until they fix this ****

You act like you're getting perfect release every time.**** outta here. You and like everyone else is barely getting perfect release and therefore bricking majority of the shots. You bums just happy they ppl can't blow you out like we used to blow you out in 2k14. Nothing was wrong with there previous shooting system. Mutha****as always ****ing **** up. White muth****as that don't know **** about basketball
