Successful drafts

What success rate is everyone having with drafting? What makes you feel you got a good draft?

I have been having a great run with drafting in the last 6 years of my pats franchise filling my needs with superstar players or high rated rookies who I put game prep time into. The only problem I'm running into now is I have tried to re sign all the good ones which has left me in some serious cap trouble. I guess this should shake my team up from being so highly rated.

In online CF with 31 other guys (GMCFL) I scouted and drafted two DB that turned out to be Super Star. Also got a 95 kick power kicker in that draft.

O-Line is the easiest to draft. You will find some studs in the 3rd and 4th round.

Hardest position to find studs is MLB and safety for me.

I have found that as well, I have missed on alot of mlb's

Yeah, i have found lots of good linemen and Dts late in the draft. I got a 3rd & 4th round Dts, who had 90 and 92 acc respectively - total beasts. Only downfall was 40 awarness for each. With gameprep, i fixed that in one season and now have a beast rotation of linemen.

But safeties never have good enough hitting power for me (they all have Bs, com'on i want someone like Laron Landry!) and even top CBs never have an A for any coverage stat, and with coverage so hard to improve, this makes drafting them pointless. None of the Cbs or safeties ive drafted have become anything more than a good nickle / average #2. however, i have 0 experience with drafting linebackers cuz i took all rookies in the fantasy draft

Also, there's too many 6'6" receivers. I was happy to get 2 in the first draft, but now the second draft has 3 more, all studs, to go along with a stud 6'5" receiver. Theres never that many good tall receivers entering the draft and that makes me feel like i wasted picks on receivers in the fantasy draft.

I think that's the beauty of these random drafts, in my cfm I have drafted 3 cbs who have had an A for at least one of their coverage ratings. I just drafted a SS in the 3rd round who had an A rating for his hit power.

As you can see, I had a pretty exceptional draft, through and through. I go for raw skills/talent and youth, when picking. There may have been more polished, day 1 starters in the draft, but for me, I'd rather pick a 74 OVR 20 year-old with a 95 PHY score, over an 82 OVR 24 year-old with a 78 PHY score.

It worked for me.

P.s. these are stats taken from in-game, pre-preseason game #1 of year 2, before any progression/training/advancement-game prep. So what you see, are the actual base-stats these players had directly coming out of college... I like to save our CFM at certain points so I can go back and review stuff, exactly like this.

All picks were made by me and were scouted using around 2000 scouting XPs points, on week 17, only unlocking letter grades in 2-5 key stats/attributes, per
