Transfer funds/budget carry over to next year?

In manager mode, if I end the year with £30M in my transfer budget, and then next year the board gives me £35M, will I start with £65M or does it start over? Need to know if I can bank transfer funds or if you "use em or lose em".

Thanks

They used to carry over, but they did not in 14. I haven't finished a season in 15 yet to know for sure, but they definitely did not carry over last year.

Last year you would keep whatever percentage you had your difficulty on (65%, 75%, or 85%)

Not sure on this year though. Still have 10 games left in my first season.

Re: Transfer funds/budget carry over to next year?

It has an impact on your transfer budget the next year, but it does not all carry over.

I tested this over two offseasons in my career mode.

First offseason: I had about 60 million in my transfer budget at year end. Went to the next season and had a 29 million dollar transfer budget. I quit, went back and signed a bunch of scouts taking my transfer budget down from 60 million to under 10 million before I advanced to the next season. That time I opened with 13 million for my transfer budget.

Second offseason: I had 62 million in my budget at year end. Went to next season and had 37 million in transfer budget. I again quit, went back and signed a 12 million dollar scout, and extended a few guys contracts from my remaining contract funds which left my transfer budget just under 50 million. I advanced to the next season, and I had a 27.5 million dollar transfer budget to start the season.

So, in short, no your whole funds/budget does not carry over. However, it does have an impact on what they give you to start the next season.

The crappy thing is, I didn't see any pattern to it this time around, so it's really just a guessing game.

Re: Transfer funds/budget carry over to next year?

A couple ways (sort of) around this.

1) Weekly wage trick. It still works this year. Before the season ends just set your ratio at 100:0 for Weekly Wages:Transfer Budget. Putting it all in your weekly wages usually allows it all, or most of it, to transfer over to next season. I did it with the Columbus Crew and had a $9,000,000 budget, up from the standard $4,000,000.

2) "Invest" in a player. In my Chelsea CM I had $45M left over in the winter so I bought Benteke for $30,000,000. The next transfer window before the season started I sold him for $32,000,000. So that's a backwards way of "keeping" that funds or at least that value.

I'm 95% sure that I read somewhere on here that they patched this glitch now and does not work anymore. But I could be wrong.

Re: Transfer funds/budget carry over to next year?

I finished a season with AC Milan. I ended with about 25 million euros after winning the Serie A title (with 93 total points, closest team was at 78 points). I then went and moved my full budget to wages before I advanced.

Enter season two and the board only gives me 11 million to work with, despite having to build a squad to compete in the Champions League.

So long story short; No, you're funds don't carry over and so far it looks like previous accomplishments don't matter either.
