PSN name showing instead of player name

Going crazy can't figure out how to turn this off or switch it, but whenever I control a player online it shows my PSN name instead of the player name.

Once the bench comes in, it's very difficult to know who is who or who the opponent is using as it only shows their name as well rather than the player name. The options in the gameplay settings are name and name and position but doesn't seem to affect anything online.

It actually seems like this was patched in past editions at some point, i just hope i'm missing somewhere to switch it

ANYWAY, it helps to know who is where especially when the bench comes in, i can't imagine how impossible it would be to play the Eurobasket games without player names! (but i'm sure you wouldn't do that since you aren't a big basketball head like me)

There's gotta be a way to fix it, i just can't find it

I actually think this feature is one of the best subtle improvements of this year's edition.

It allows you to see whether your opponent is playing off-ball, and if he is, it makes it easier to pick at whichever player he's controlling.

I can see that since people do that like crazy but not having an option to turn if off is maddening

I did actually see this was an issue in 2k12 and was patched out so hopefully it gets fixed again???

This basically gets flipped flopped every year. You most likely can not "turn it off". It has it's pros (you can see who the user is controlling of defense, to combat off ball defenders), cons (it looks ugly).

After much debate, i thinks it better off showing the user name to combat/discourage of ball defending.

I don't think you can see your opponent's user name online? That just defeats the purpose of a user intention and privacy. Are you talking about offline local play?
