Official "Bring Back Halftime Show" Thread

The other thread was getting bogged down and I wanted us to have an exclusive place to air our grievances, just like the CPU vs CPU in Offline Franchise thread over on the Madden forum.

It's 2014 and I'm absolutely stunned that presentation is going backwards, not forwards. The company known for having the best presentation package ever in a sports game (ESPN NFL 2K5) has removed their highlight filled halftime show with a bare bones, static screen...

It's no secret that year in and year out, people are constantly asking for and hoping for dynamic, realistic tv style presentation in their sports games. Yet, not only do we not have a halftime show this year, but it's been ten years and we still haven't seen a comeback of the weekly wrapup show from the company that perfected it. However, the most confusing thing about the halftime show's removal was the reasoning behind it.

The halftime show was allegedly removed because many players buttoned through it. Knowing that, they then put in a new pregame show, national anthems and player introductions. Huh? All that combined is WAY longer than a halftime show, but 2K doesn't think people are going to button through all that, too? Their decision is so mind boggling.

Those of us presentation nuts need to make sure our voices are heard. We can't let 2K slip like certain other companies. They need to know that this is important to us.

Tweet them, spread the word and discuss in this thread why you want halftime back and why you think 2K should have never removed it.

Cosign. Huge step backwards in presentation. Especially when I was expecting Ernie and Shaq at least. There's always something vitally central and well executed that gets gutted each year. This is the halftime show's year. That's just nuts, the year 2K is actually making an effort to go back to more professional broadcast graphics. I hope it's restored next year with a full TNT presentation.

The Halftime show being taken out this year hit me hard, but its more so the highlights not being shown then actual commentary that I will miss at halftime.

Hopefully the addition of Ernie and Shaq in the pregame show is a stepping stone towards them adding a more in depth halftime show in future games, thats the only thing thats giving me a bit of confidence.

Halftime show looked weak in the gameplay stream. I want it back as well. I also dont understand how they keep removing things. Is is just to say next year: its back, be happy ???
