The swing and wiff slap shot

Hey has anyone else experience a high amount of swing and miss slapshot that ends up giving the other team a fast break. Seems to happen quite often. Also sometime he wont even swing he'll just stand there. Whats up with that? Is that effected by the accuracy slider?

Thanks

Yes, I've wondered what slider affects this as well. The CPU player hardly ever miss, but my players do quite a bit.

This happens to me frequently. I suspect that the timing window for nailing it perfectly is pretty small (as it should be), but there's no in-between -- it's either a laser headed for the back of the net or a total miss. They need some kind of partial contact shot to minimize this.

I've had this happen to me, particularly in the beginning. I think the reason is that you are moving too much away from your momentum. In other words as you wind up, if you move your player a bit except in the direction he is skating this can happen.

One timers (other than ones from the point) are very hard to time properly.

A practise mode would help.
