TV fix for bluriness

I don't have the full game yet, but I've been playing the demo for PS4. I enjoy the gameplay, but why are the graphics so blurry? It's craziness. Every other game I have looks amazing.

But I think I found a fix, or at least a bandaid. I cranked my sharpness all the way up, and that made a huge difference. Everything looked as it should. Normally for everything else it's really low, but this game needs it.

I play in true broadcast camera. I'd suggest you guys to try it out. Is the bluriness in the retail game as well?

It was for me on my TV. Without going into a console thing, all I can say is that The xbox one version looks inexplicably sharper. Im no professional, but It's noticeable enough on an 80 inch screen that I would make an argument that the xbox one version is 900p, and the ps4 is 720p.

You may be experiencing what seems to be a bug with the RGB limited/full setting on the PS4. See this thread: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...6&postcount=38

Does that do the trick for you? For me it resolved the issue with things looking fuzzy and washed out. Let us know if this works for you. I PMed Steve a few weeks ago to suggest that thread be a sticky. I think it will help many people.

This helps a lot with the colors. Also a little with definition. We have a 120inch and at these larger sizes you need a darbee/oppo.

This worked for me too. The blurriness is gone and looks much sharper! Thanks so much for this tip! It only affects NHL 15, must be the same programmer who's also responsible for the inconsistent saving of the game settings.

Re: TV fix for bluriness

This workaround is so important that it should be a sticky. I asked Steve a week or two ago and will ask again. Others should ask the same. Imagine all the people playing on the PS4 who are affected by it - "making do" with all the blurriness without realizing such a simple workaround will make a huge improvement.

In my case I also did not buy the game - I had decided that the demo looked too fuzzy/hazy and it was unacceptable so I wrote it off. Then in desperation I started a thread asking others if they had the same problem on the PS4. Some didn't, but many did. Fortunately someone figured it out and posted in that thread. The next day I bought the game and have been very happy with it. Of course it would be great if they patched this but I doubt they even know about it.

Re: TV fix for bluriness

NHL 15 is the only game where the XB1 version looks significantly better than PS4. All the other games it's either PS4 looks better or they're equal.

No reason why a game on PS4 should look worse than it's XB1 version. But this is the cluster***k that is NHL 15 so it doesn't surprise me.

I won't mess w/ any of my TV settings when Im playing PS4 just for this one broken game. All the other PS4 games look fine but this one. They lie on the back of the PS4 box that this is 1080p. No way close!
