No hand balls?

I have the option turned on and I haven't seen one hand ball yet and I've played quite a few games offline. In last years version, they would call hand balls right and left.

Maybe they toned them down for this years version...

I think I saw 1-2 in the demo, but you're correct, very rare. I even stopped the game the other day and watched a replay (something I seldom do), the CPU player stuck out his arm and the ball clearly hit him on the hand. No call. I was livid... threw my controller against the wall but when it didn't break I ran over it in the driveway with my car. That last part is a lie actually, I'm really just affirming your observation.

I have it on also and only had 1 called. I think it's because the AI, now pull their hands back on distance strikes. They don't have their arms swinging outside their body like previous versions. If you look at a longer strike to goal you'll see players pull both arms behind their back from time to time to avoid this contact and just turn their shoulders. I think it's pretty cool to see them much more cautious of this now. Still get one from time to time but definitely not at as often.

Haven't seen a missed hand balls yet. So I cannot speak to if it's a glitch or a ref just misses the call opportunity. Much like Thierry Henry in the 2010 WC qualifications.

I have handballs turned on including penalties and have yet to see one.

I haven't seen one for a penalty yet, but I've seen a couple in the field. One was a play-down, and the other was accidental on a missed slide tackle.

But the good news is I haven't seen any that haven't been called, either, so it doesn't seem broken. It just seems like defenders aren't flailing their arms and jumping with both arms above their heads in the box like they used to.

On for me also including pens, have yet to see one despite some obvious one that souldve been called.

I love that the players hold the hand behind their backs in the box however

I played maybe more than 300 games and I never see referee calls foul for handball. You can even clearly see that players touch the ball with hands and referee never calls for foul. It's weird because there is a times when headers want to score goal and defenders blocking balls with hands.
Many times I talked to ea support advisors and explained them the problem, now I'm waiting for update to fix this problem.
