Week 4: Carolina Panthers (2-1) @ Baltimore Ravens (2-1)

Panthers coming off of a humiliating loss at home, in primetime, to the Steelers. Baltimore has won 2 straight, a dominating defeat of those same Steelers, and a last second win over Cleveland last week.

Steve Smith faces the team that thought he wasn't worth keeping anymore. He will either punch someone and get thrown out of the game, or he'll have his best game of the year... I don't really think there is any in-between.

Carolina has to figure out their offense. Cam got beat up last week, I actually wouldn't be that surprised if he doesn't play. I'm fairly confident in DA as the backup, he looked good in relief last week (granted, in a blowout where Pittsburgh had called off the dogs). All of Carolina's RBs are hurt, but DeAngelo might be able to play. If he can't, it looks like Darrin Reaves will be the starter.

I don't see this game going well for Carolina.

Re: Week 4: Carolina Panthers (2-1) @ Baltimore Ravens (2-1)

Game could go better than you think.

Ravens offense will be without another big piece. Left Tackle Eugene Monroe is out and undrafted rookie James Hurst will get the start. Monroe had a "knee procedure" that will keep him out a few weeks. We'll have to see how that affects the pass protection and the run game.

Defensively Webb is still working off rust and the pass rush needs to get home this week. The only QB they pressured was Ben. They were not close vs Cincy and Cleveland. Part of that is not having a completely healthy secondary. However, Pees has shown in the past that he doesn't get after people like Ryan, Pagano. We'll have to see how the game unfolds.

I am not surprised.

I don't know why but I am nervous about this game.

Edit: Suggs looks like he is going to have a big day. Cam needs to go to the hard count to slow Suggs down off the line

Has their Oline had protection problems? Aside from Jimmy Smith our secondary is horrible.

Oh and can you believe his old team let Steve Smith go?? He is pretty good. Who did he use to play for? I cannot remember...

Lol don't think Baltimore drew it up quite like that, but Flacco overthrows Owen Daniels on a Corner route and he's just barely able to get his fingertips on the pass to bounce it up towards the sidelines where a streaking Steve Smith takes it the rest of the way for the TD.

I think the pass was intended for Steve and Joe just slightly underthrew it.
Edit: Nevermind, the replay does make it seem that Daniels was the intended receiver.
