WARNING: Dont edit lines

Just discovered another screwed up aspect of this dreadfully designed game. I started a BeaGM mode since I cannot play a season and I had taken care of all the free agent signings before doing so. Once I started, my first game was against St.Louis, as I looked over their line-up I saw the 3 scratched players were a couple of no names from the minors. I exited out of my GM mode and checked the rosters and saw I had too many guys on the team so I moved guys to the AHL club to get the roster to the legit number. I then tweaked the line-up to see if it would hold when I started a season. It does not hold and in fact screws things up. The Blues extra attackers went from Stastny and Backes to Porter and Ott......Really that's who the Blues are going to run out there if they pull the goalie. Come on EA? This is why we need total roster control because they are to lazy to get it right or fix it.

This has always been the case. CPU teams will not hold the lines you make for them at the start of the BaGM. They will make their lines "best lines".

Just set assistant coach to "minimal"

Not a terrible idea but will he screw with my lines for my team? Then again my lines get messed up too. For some reason even though I edit lines in the main menu of my BeaGM season, somehow in game it's the same as all the other teams. I end up with fourth liners or a defensemen as my extra attackers. Also messes up my shoot out line up. It's just another little problem that shouldn't even be there. Ugh

I believe this may be a glitch, but I traded for a player from the Kings.

Yet he doesnt appear anywhere on my roster or minor league roster.

I can add him to my trading block but cant add him to my roster. He has disappeared

I've also had that happen. Just add it to the list.
Also have assistant coach edit lines doesn't work because that only applies to user controlled team. So now in BeaGM season all CPU teams have 4th liners or defenseman as their extra attackers.

Probably a junior aged player that was sent down to the CHL I would guess.

But he was on the Kings roster.

Im not familiar with the NHL roster system as much as the NBA, but he's not even in the 'In the system' tab.
