When will 2K have real time physics ?

Watched this video of FIFA 15 demo and was truely amazed at how good the physics and the collision system is in that game. Just shows that extremely realistic collisions is something that can be done.

I've been hoping for this for years. Imagine being able to go into a replay and actually seeing exactly where the foul was.

But they would essentially need to completely rebuild the game from scratch to implement dynamic physics on that level, and I don't see that happening any time soon.

That'd be nice, but it seems like something that, as the poster above said, would require a complete overhaul. I dunno if that's in the works or not, maybe for 2k16 or 2k17, but probably not any time soon imo.

I do think that would add to the realism, add it to one of the wishlist threads if it's not there already.

If it were easy to implement I suspect we would've seen it by now. Right now it seems like physics and animations is the best way to use the engine.

If they can implement it somehow without overhauling the engine I'm all for it. Isn't Live using the same engine? If Live pulls it off then 2k will likely follow suit next year

Re: When will 2K have real time physics ?

theres also a reason lives gameplay has failed on NG.

real time physics is going to require an entirely new game engine (i believe) and at that point we are getting an essentially 100% new game.

just get rid of canned/forced animations and what not and it wont be as necessary for RTP

Real time physics isn't a huge necessity for a bball game
