Zone coverage

Am I the only one who is seeing defenders constantly cover multiple receivers in one and even two zones sometimes? Its really annoying and not realistic at all. They will start following one defender and have their head turned then when you throw it to an open player, he will make lunge at break neck speed and cover a nice amount of distance to swat the ball.

Re: Zone coverage

The coverage MUST be good or else the passing game becomes unbalanced! In my opinion it is better to have better coverage to counter balance the way too simple button passing mechanics and God view that have been in most video football games for a very long time.

Re: Zone coverage

It is not unrealistic for a player to leave a zone to make a play on the ball when possible. This may be a little exaggerated in Madden somewhat but it is still an improvement overall. The goal is proper balance and these adjustments are necessary to prevent the game from becoming repetitive and to keep the online cheese factor in check.
