Strat Football

Hi Guys

I'm a big fan of both strat baseball and football and was wondering if you guys are also into tabletop football?

Played a lot of APBA as a kid. Last year I got the tabletop gaming bug. In the past year Ive played some STRAT and APBa baseball. Really like Replay baseball.

On the football front Ive played some more APBA football. Now playing Inside Blitz NCAA football and will likely purchase the NFL version (Insidesportsgames.com I believe). The two games are a little different.

Really like Classic college hoops as well--great table top game.

Checkout table top gaming forum at delphi forums. Also on Delphi forums see the PT games forum, APBA Between the Lines, Replay BB forum, Skeetersoft forum, and a zillion others.

Tabletop is fun. I know there are pc sims but I hate looking at the computer and pressing buttons--it puts me to sleep. Rolling dice keeps me involved.

Played Strat-O-Matic baseball as a kid. Sam Mcdowell pitched a no hitter in our first game. Can't remember if my brother had the Indians or the Orioles.

yeah, thats it. I had that as a kid with hall of fame/all star players. I remember Steve Carlton was really good.


I played a lot of strat though which is much more sophisticated. Also had a game called Pursue the Pennant which was good and had little ballpark cutouts you used that added flavor. Also statis pro basketball and boxing, negamco college football and college basketball.


stopped playing all that in college and after... but recently, in my mid-30s I dove back in. Have been playing a ton of strat o matic baseball and hockey. Also am trying to figure out football (didnt play much advanced as a kid and also trying to find the best solitaire play selection charts).

Overall its great. if you play the correct way with usage and lineups, etc, you can come up with pretty realistic results. Been replaying the 1989-90 NHL season and created a 2014 MLB tournament. Once I get SOM Football down, I plan on replaying the entirety of the 1991 season.

I have the basketball game too and want to learn that down the road.


The computer versions are also amazing.

Looks to be an amazing game with tons of positive feedback. Went with the 2014 pdf seapsn to get full color.
