Is Football still the best sports video game?

I don't know about you but Madden goes way back to the genesis days for me. I even owned the original john madden football on the pc which was very different. But football has that fun factor other sports games don't. I know NHL was the same for a lot of people back then. Fifa probably is now. Played nba live and 2k and all the basketball games since that is just as much a favorite sport of mine. But football as far as video games go there is more to the action and fun factor imo.. MLB the show is a great looking game but something about it doesn't get me as excited to play it. Madden has had some really down and bad years but madden 25 was good and got the series back in the right direction. Madden 15 I hope lives up to the hype. It's really the first game on the new platforms although madden 25 on ps4 looked pretty damn good to me. Shame there is no college football to get me geared up for this years Madden.

I agree the show is a more polished game but why do I prefer playing madden even with it's faults? It's a shame EA hasn't put the same effort into this game. I thought madden 25 was really good though. From the impressions seems like madden 15 is getting closer. Always difficult to tell though. It seems like every year it's like this and EA just keeps releasing the same game.

because you enjoy football more than baseball (as does any sane person)


with FIFA, the show, NB2K out there, Madden is not even close to the best sadly
