So, Rammer confirmed in the Q&A-thread that there won't be custom music in NHL 15. Unfortunately he didn't answer if there's a possibility for a patch or if it will be back for 16. Recently I read that the Xbox One is going to get a big update which allows you to stream your own music and use your mp3s. Does anyone know if that'll be the same for PS4 (a quick google research wasn't that helpful...)? I'm asking because I'm planning to buy a new console this week, and to me the ability to play custom music is pretty crucial in the decision of whichconsole I'm going to buy. Right now I'm tending to get the PS4, but if there won't be a custom music update, the Xbox will be my choice.

Th custom music isn't an EA issue, but a ps4 issue. No one knows for sure if Sony will ever put in mp3 support (they don't have bluetooth headset support either). It sounds like you're better off with the Xbone.

Sony is releasing firmware v2.00 sometime this fall, there have been no official announcements but several internet rumors (take them with a grain of salt) say MP3 and Suspend/Resume will be included.

I've just read on the EA forums that MLB the show has the custom media hub in their settings. So this should be a good sign, right?

I really hope this is only because Sony hasn't added it yet and EA still includes the interface for it so when it's patched in we can add it. Just like MLB has. At least they have authentic goal horns from what I heard in the videos. But no custom music period, will make this year hard to bear for me. Having goal songs and BIP music changes the entire game feeling. If they just went lazy and didnt add it period Im going to be one sad individual.

^^^^ this was my hope as well. That they include custom sound HUB even without sony enabling mp3 that way it would be a smooth transition. MLB The Show did this and it seems like a wise decision. I just hope they plan to patch it once enabled.

I couldn't stand not having mp3 support for so long on X1. So glad it is finally coming. I haven't listened to the announcers in many years.
