Does Madden make you watch the NFL or,
Does watching the NFL make you play Madden?

I got into watching football by playing Madden 03. Now I watch football but I'm starting to pull away from Madden.

which came first for you, and do you think you'd be less into the NFL if madden didn't exist? or vice versa.

I have always watched the Patriots and played madden. It wasn't until fantasy football that I became a real NFL fan. I usually finding myself during the 4pm games warning to play madden. Now with XBone I can do both. Winning all around.

I am seriously considering not buying Madden for the first time since Madden 03 and I'm wondering if not playing Madden will affect how much I watch the NFL. I'll for sure watch my team's games, but I don't know if other teams games will be as watchable for me. The thing about Madden is that it makes me more aware of what players to watch for in all the different teams.

If you've bought any Madden since 10, I have no idea why you would skip now. 15 will be much improved over 10-25

Madden augments my NFL experience, but it certainly isn't a reason for me to watch football. For me, the NFL is only behind my family and my health in importance in my life. Madden is a good way to enjoy the league and play video games at the same time. Its really interesting to think that there are people (I would assume much younger than myself, at 36) who became football fans because of Madden though.

My desire to play Madden is entirely from my love of the NFL. I guess this poll may hinge on age, I am 46 and was watching football a long time before Madden was around.

I do play Madden year round and not just when it is football season but that too is because it is a way for me to still be involved with the NFL when the season is over.
