Extreme Warfare Revenge (EWR) 2004: great game

I traded in my Xbox and all of my Xbox games so I can get a PS4. One of the downsides of that is the fact that I won't be able to play a console wrestling game until October when WWE 2K15 comes out. Out of curiosity, I downloaded EWR 2004, a game I used to play for hours on end. It's a great game, you get to manage a wrestling company (choices include WWE, TNA, ROH, and several small companies) and book shows, get TV deals and sign wrestlers.

The website has a free download of the game, and several mods that give the game a modern day roster. I'm trying to figure out how to use the mods.

Just copy the DATA folder over your current data to update to whatever roster you downloaded

The best way to play in my opinion is to create your own fed with 0s in everything and no money to start with and go from there. You can get about $40k a month, so that's your budget to try and raise Production Values and get your talent. It's a small pool of wrestlers you can stick with, but boy is it rewarding to see your own production go through.

I'm doing this right now with a 2014 roster mod successfully installed. I'll track my progress in this thread.

How do you grow, in terms of size? I'm stuck at small. I keep sending out promo tapes to small TV networks, and no one is accepting.

TEW 2005 is freeware now I think. Which is the next game in the series after this.

Re: Extreme Warfare Revenge (EWR) 2004: great game

I love this game. I started a new save with default (2003) rosters, playing as ROH. Raven was my #1 star, and I was going to have him feud with Steve Corino. Well, WWE decided to troll and sign Raven to a written contract. Not only that, they signed CM Punk (someone I was planning on pushing to the moon) to a written contract.
Spoiler

So, I decided to try and land some bigger names to alleviate these losses. I signed Tito Ortiz (in 2003 he was quite famous, he's an upper-mid carder) Harry Smith (aka DH Smith in WWE, he's a big name in EWR due to Canadian success) and Matt Morgan.

I landed a TV deal with the Regional Network and sent out promo tapes to the local network, hoping for a B show.
