Need help setting up my franchise please

Hey All

I am setting up my new franchise and I am a bit confused. I am using the Hybrid rosters and he posts that you should control all the rosters. I want to control all the rosters but I only want to play with my team. I want the right though to make sure computer teams are making smart trades and moves. So basically I want them to be played by the computer but the rosters controlled by me. Now here is where I need the help. I was told to make sure I have complete roster control set to the profile. I am just confused about does that mean when it is time to pick my team I select every team or does that mean something else? Trying to set this up right the first time and having some issues. When you start the franchise select all 30 teams. When you select a team you have the option to set which profile controls that team. You want to set the 29 teams you arent going to play as to a different profile than the one you use. So it would be your team is profile A and the other 29 profile B. Then you can start the franchise.

You then want to go to Options, then User Settings. Push L1/R1 until you see the profile that controls the CPU teams at the bottom. Then go to Mode Options and turn everything you dont want to control to Auto. So if you want to set correct lineups leave that Manual. You want CPU to offer trades turn that to Auto.

Be sure to check the pending transactions every day or so to make sure you dont miss a trade.

Great thanks! On more question. Where in the menus do I go to setup two different profiles? And should I do anything specific with each one?

By default there is Beginner and experienced. You can create custom profiles by going to Options, User Settings, Then clicking on Save Changes and selecting create.

I believe when you first launch the game you are asked to choose between Beginner and Experienced. Which ever you chose is best to go with your team since it has all your Sliders and Settings attached to it. It shouldnt matter what profile the CPU has.

If you use 30 team control, does it still mess up the amateur draft (as in you have to draft for all teams)?

No set drafting to Auto for the other teams and it works fine.

I am from Europe, so not that fammiliar with baseball, but really love the game. Would like to start a franchise, not sure about the team. I would like to have lot of options for trade and some young prospects to work with. Will be glad for any advice. Also would need to explain how the bullpen works and what kind of players should i get there. And for how long do I need to keep players in AA or AAA till I call em up to majors. Also need to know which statistics do I need to track, which are the most important in the game. When to put the player on the bench and how to use the players from the bullpen. How the bullpen works and when should I use this players. But at most really need to help to choose the team. Im looking for a team with many options to work with and want to be competitive, division is not important. Thanks alot for any suggestions
