Tough decision to make

I'm trying to decide which game I want to buy wwf no mercy for n64 or wwe here comes the pain ps2. Can I get some insight? I have old school systems in my man cave and need at least 1 wrestling game. As memory serves these are the best and from what I read on threads these are def the fan favorites. I just can't decide which I should get ill prob get both eventually being that hctp is $8 and no mercy is $7.99. But I'm only buying 1 right now just want some help deciding which I should get

Re: Tough decision to make

I think No Mercy is the best of the two. HCTP was great, but it's a little more arcade than I like. I love the grappling and flow of matches in No Mercy.

I'm going to have to go back and youtube some HCTP matches though. You've piqued my interest in it again, haha.

Re: Tough decision to make

Hctp has the better roster for someone my age (22) but I think I had a better experience with no mercy. Only thing I fear about no mercy is the hours played glitch that happened on 80% of cartridges that after so many hours the whole game erases. They fixed it but when they fixed the glitch they removed blood. So no mercy is risky but def more multi player fun. We been having mario Mondays at my house last 3 weeks with mario kart and mario party I also have blitz and 007. It's a blast

No mercy. Just for the creation suite alone. For a game so old, it's really versatile and also being able to edit the ai a bit for each wrestler. The gameplay has aged pretty good too. Here comes the pain plays pretty similar to todays wwe games.

Re: Tough decision to make

I most likely will get both but I try not to buy to many games at once because I don't use them especially of the same kind. No mercy I think will be the best option for right now especially after looking at caws because I use my man cave and older systems for mostly multiplayer but I have been watching YouTube videos on hctp and it looks like a blast I remember playing for hours. I really wish the new wwe games would incorporate the ratings challenge like svr for the universe. I love starting universes only to lose intrest because there is no real goal to universe. Does anyone know any good no mercy season mode YouTube videos to watch that aren't mods?

Thanks for all the input

Re: Tough decision to make

If you have a semi capable pc, I'd look into the modding sites. Some pretty awesome ones, and you don't have to worry about the save glitch.

I have my n64, just for the wrestling games and occasionally Mario kart.
