Stealing attribute in RTTS?

Does increasing the stealing stat in RTTS help you steal while playing or does it only apply to simming?

Mine is at 75 and I seem to get better jumps as the rating increases

good to know...i thought its only in simming....thats why i dont pay any attention to this.

Baserunning aggressiveness stat covers simming. Not sure it's ever explained what the steal stat does but I'd guess the better jumps is true and you get more borderline calls in your favor.
