There's been plenty of rumors about the next battlefield, including, but not limited to, rumors of a "police themed" battlefield in 2014. EA is going to show a Frostbite 3 powered game at E3, and the general assumption was that it will be the next Battlefield. Other rumors surfaced that DICE will *not* develop the 2014 Battlefield game. Now, we have a legit rumor from a guy in the know:

Man I hope they do this well. One of my favorite things in the old rainbow PC games was setting breach charges on doors and doing simultaneous enter and clear maneuvers. Back them it was very bad tithe bone and hopefully they do some sort of thing like that. I could see a theme from the movie swat happening as well. I kinda hope they do drug cartel entries in this one though.

I'm interested to see how it will work. I'm used to the four core classes with military gadgets and whatnot. How will they work police stuff into it? I don't think it'll be too realistic to see a police guy throwing paper airplanes around...

Are they gonna stick with conquest/rush or do new stuff? What kind of vehicles will there be?

Dogs? HORSES?

ND, shed some light on what we will see. Pepper spray? Instead of knife takedowns it's a takedown and you just spray the pepper spray for like 5 minutes until the guy dies

Rubber bullets? Robots?
