The New Yankees:The New Era (MLB The Show 14(PS4))

(I had started one of these in the past, but was never really able to keep up, hopefully this time around I can keep up, especially with all the new things the PS4 allows me to do now. As I progress with this I will attempt to upper the quality of the presentation for this Franchise. This will be a story that I can hopefully continue for time to come especially with the ability to transfer my franchise to future games, I
ll present it from news articles, player interviews, and so on and on with highlights for certain games as well. Thanks for keeping up!)

Breaking News:
Brian Cashman Calls it Career
02/18/2014
In an unexpected turn of events, a week before the first spring training game, Brian Cashman has announced he will be stepping down as the general manager of the New York Yankees. No specific reason has been given to this spontaneous announcement and mystery will most likely continue to surround this matter throughout the regular season. The question now becomes will this be a distraction for the New York Yankees during the season or can they block all the media attention this will surely be getting through the season? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure big changes must be ahead for the New York Yankees and we could be looking at a new era for the pinstripes. Only time will tell if this change will turn out to be positive or negative. No news have been heard on Brian Cashman's possible replacement, though an announcement is surely to come soon with the beginning of spring training fast approaching.

Re: The New Yankees:The New Era (MLB The Show 14(PS4))

The End of Spring Break and a New GM

It certainly was an interesting spring break for the Yankees, while some players underperformed others out shined earning them a spot on the active roster for the season. The Yankees signed a new GM Andre to a three year deal and see if he can turn this Yankees club around, one of his first orders of business was to sign a power hitting bat which ended up being outfielder Shelly Duncan to a one year deal for 825K with a team option for a second year also worth 825K. Twenty eight year old Bruce Billings made himself into the active 25 man roster as a middle relief pitcher while 23 year old Bryan Mitchell took the number five spot in the rotation. It will be interesting to see how these two rookies alongside newcomer Masahiro Tanaka will perform for the club in the year of 2014!
