Buying it is the best, quickest way to acquire VC

First, download the My NBA2K app on your mobile device, and make sure to get the daily VC bonus and do the Pick-and-Win every day on there as well. That's the easiest way to get VC IMO.

Second, use custom rosters to sim through a MyGM season. I use a roster titled something like "YouTubeDooooogshere", and I earn 900-1000 VC every time I sim a season using those rosters.

Thirdly, just play some MyGM games. You get 925 VC for a win and 800 VC for a loss. Not bad at all.

Using these methods, I've been able to earn a decent amount of VC to use towards my MyTeam, so I hope you can too.

The length of the quarters do affect how much VC you get per game, yes. The difficulty, however, does not.

I stuck it out through the first season of MyPLAYER, so now I can skip and only play Key Games on HOF. I used to play on 6 min qtrs and get about 1500-2k vc per game, but I moved it up to 12 min recently just to go stupid for points and see how much vc it would net me, and it's about 3k-4k a (key) game.
