Save a game to continue later?

I wish there was a way to save your game and finish it later. I prefer to play every pitch (not quick counts) but sometimes there just isn't the time to finish a game in one sitting. For some reason I thought years ago, you could do that but I guess you cannot. Why is this feature not put into the game? Very frustrating to have to end a game prematurely and not get to finish it.

This option is available in Franchise games.

Thought this was in this year for ps4. What happens if you just exit the game via the ps4 button and leave it in standby mode without exiting the game via the show? I know Madden has it where it will load back up where you left off even if you turned off the system.

It is in for PS4 too as I have already utilized it.

I have the PS4 version...I play Exhibition Games as I don't feel like following a schedule. I didn't see option last night.
