Diamond Dynasty question

I got The Show last night for the PS4. This is the first time I have ever played The Show. What exactly is the Diamond Dynasty mode? Is it like MyTeam and Ultimate Team in other games? If so, are there any historical players in the mode, or just current players?

When online, you'll have the opportunity to challenge other user-created teams in offline games where the AI controls their team. The next time that user logs in, he will see how his team fared against you.

When the AI controls your team, it utilizes the new Universal Profile Tendency Tracking system to replicate your play style. Whether you run a lot on the base paths, play a lot of small ball, or pepper the strike zone, other players will get a good sense of your on-field personality even when you’re not behind the controller. It’s worth noting that when the AI controls your team, your players do not accrue stats or lose games and your dynasty only stands to benefit financially.

Challenging other dynasties using the Extra Innings system is simple. Jump into a game against any team directly from Standings or your Extra Innings challenge history. Not sure who to challenge? Use the Play Ball Extra Innings option to get view recommended teams with varying team strengths. When you are controlling your team, your players record stats and lose games just as they would if you played a game against the MLB AI.

Extra Innings provides a more robust offline experience in MLB 14 The Show. While the Rating and Division system are still based on competitive online play, playing offline to evolve your players and build up your dynasty will be social, engaging, and more fun than ever.

Re: Diamond Dynasty question

Thanks for the info. I didn't really see anything in the article about the players that are in the mode. Are they current MLB players only?

Re: Diamond Dynasty question

Diamond Dynasty is the best ultimate team mode out there.
I'm a experienced Ultimate Team guy, didn't like Myteam much since there was no Auction Hall

Diamond Dynasty is completely different. First of all there are no contract cards... so what ever card you get, the games on their card are their entire career.
Theres are two types of players, MLB players who are limited to 10 games only or Prospect players ( I forgot what they call them in game).
Prospect card players, are created players who you can customize their looks, name, and etc. And you train them with Budget points you receive from winning games. So you can make them into any player you want, if the potential rating on their card is high enough.

The best part about Diamond Dynasty is you custom create your team's jersey and logo. Which is awesomeeeeeee.

Thanks for the info. Kinda sounds like how NHL Ultimate team used to be, as far as the training players goes. I plan on diving into the mode tonight.

Re: Diamond Dynasty question

Does anyone know if you can import logos to the PS4 or Diamond Dynasty? Or do you have to make the logos from scratch using the logo editor in-game?

I created some logos in Photoshop and would like to bring them over to The Show to be able to use them.

Re: Diamond Dynasty question

I loved the sound of it until you mentioned that MLB players only get 10 games. I think that is silly, maybe it cuts down the amount of super teams but if I get Matt Kemp and want to build my team around him, I can't because he only lasts for 10 games.

Just my opinion though
