You can always adjust the ratings for any player in the game. I am using the rosters that were downloadable from SCEA on April 1st the day the PS3 game was released. In 34 PS3 games and now 1 PS4 game, Blackmon is hitting in the high 200s but if memory serves me correct he only has one home run. So yeah he might be a tad low. In the same games Arenado got off to a real slow start and struggled at the plate. But lately he has come around and is hitting in the mid 200s with 4 home runs. I did not touch the batting ratings for either one of these guys. However Arenado is awesome on defense in the real world and yes I felt his defensive ratings were low back on April 1st, so I did adjust his fielding ratings to make him better. But you have to be careful adjusting player ratings. If you are too generous, you may make the game too easy. The real world Rockies are 21-14 and my MLB 14 Rockies are 20-15. So I seem to have a good balance there. However not all teams in my season match their real world counter parts. As an example in my MLB 14 Season the Royals have the best record while the Giants are struggling. This is not the case in the real world.
