pitchers injured on line drives finally!

So line drives to the head finally do some damage to huh. That's about awesome.

Did a for fun draft chise with KC and opening day against the Tigers Scherzer takes one off the face and fell down didn't get back up and had to come out with what was deemed a probable broken cheek. Thought that was awesome that not only did he get injured from the hit but that it was a actual related injury to where he was hit.

I have video but it takes so long for me to upload videos.

I have to agree with you on this one, to many times in the older games i could hit somebody in the face with a ball off the bat and they'd end up chasing it down and throw me out. I had almost the same exact scenario happen to me as you, except i was the one doing the batting. i was shocked that i had to actually watch it 3 times lol

Yeah I had one of my guys hit earlier this year but nothing came of it he didn't even fall down, however it wasn't a head shot like this one was.

Not that I like seeing guys get hit being a pitcher myself, but was awesome to see it result in a injury.

He broke it falling backwards after the hit lol, seriously have you seen the angle they made them fall.

My pitcher once got hit in the shoulder, which then bounced up to my cheek, and he got staggered for a second, but managed to recover enough to throw to first--not in time, though.

Diagnosis: concussion. 15-day DL.

This time I'm actually thankful it wasn't a shoulder injury, as that was my throwing arm!

Cmon man. We have hit enough pitchers. Cobb last year, Chapman in spring training. We are gonna start to get a bad name. Ill give you a break though since it was Scherzer.

What Ive seen so far is that players react much better on injuries, period. I saw one of my pitchers get hit in one of his ankles and right of way stared hoping in pain to the side of third base...
