how to make center spot up at the 3pt line

I was watching the Ind-Atl playoff game and saw how the Hawks would spot up Pero Antic at the 3pt line to provide spacing and take Hibbert out of the paint.

I don't remember a way to emulate this in 2k14(last gen).Even if you play 4 out 1 in with spacing the floor option the cpu spots up only your PF regardless of ratings and play style. For example if there is a team with an inside player at PF and an outside shooter at C(like the Heat with Bosh at C) the cpu will always assume that the PF will play outside and C will post in the low block.

The only way to change that is either use some plays that position the C at the 3pt line or run some pick n pops to give them 3pt looks which is something totally different from spotting up.

Any ideas how to make C's spot up or reverse the 4out1in between the C and PF?Do tendencies play any role?
Last year(2k13) i remember a players tendency to shoot 3pts and spot up actually made him do that in freelance.E.g. guys like Dirk or Love would play Center minutes and they were always hanging around the 3pt line. This year positioning seems fixed to only PFs being able to stretch the floor.

Why don't you put your center at the AF spot and the AF at the center spot? You can still set them to defend their original position in the defensive settings.

Can't make them spot up but you can call for a fade at the 3pt line and they will stay out there

The main thing for me is to make the opponent center pull away from the paint.By doing the switch you propose you dont force the cpu to adjust it's defensive matchups(well, unfortunately, the cpu never adjusts even if you play a guard at the C spot).

I'm trying to do this...

against the best rim protecting big men.

What you say is true and I have not found a way around it, at least not in MyCareer where I'm at PG and Dirk is at C. I would like ot know this too.

Re: how to make center spot up at the 3pt line

The closest thing you can do is go through your iso, pick and roll or low post plays with Milsap and Teague, and find one in which your center is on the perimeter. Depending on your POE will also affect natural offense as well. crashing offensive board will have your BIGS closer to the rim so they can board up. I think it is possible as well(but i don't know about next-gen) because i when i use to play with the Sixers' Hawes was always on the 3pt line. PS you can also manual pick and roll with Antic behind the 3pt line and hold it till the fade option appears. Hope i helped you with your question.

Can't you edit his tendencies to spot up and slant it all the way to spot up?

What if you did a freelance offense and edited his tendency?

Space the floor and Motion with 4 out will always have the Center inside, regardless of attributes and tendencies.

Other than that, you need to find some good PnF plays and Horns plays.
