How do you respond when people make fun....

Since we're all wrestling fans and we all know it's entertainment we also know people who look down on us for it. Personally I find it kinda funny the things people say when they try to come at me about it. You always get the "you know it's fake right" comments and stuff. Anyway, just wondering how you all respond when people say stuff like this.

I tell people that it's just as fake as their favorite TV show. (Walking dead, breaking bad, sons of anarchy) etc it usually shuts them up. But then they respond with "yea but that's different" which to me means that I made a valid comparison.

Yeah I dont really say Im a wrestling fan to people for no good reason. But if it comes up and someone decides to make jokes I just let them have their moment to rip wrestling. Not because Im embarrassed to defend it or anything but because there is just no use in participating in that discussion. I just hope the topic dies swiftly and we can move on to something else.

Funny you should say that because I was talking to a few of my friends who aren't into it and I told them how Taker had lost at Mania and all the rumors around it. My one friend said "that's why I don't like wrestling because it's staged and pre-determined". I was going to be a smart *** and say something like "oh so you don't like movies as well" but decided not to hahaha. It may have been funny had I said something.
