You CAN Steal w/ Auto Baserunning

You have to hold down the base the runner is on (i.e. circle for 1st) and then pull L2 when you're ready to take off.

I hope you are right (will explore when I get home) because this is a game killer for me otherwise .

That doesn't make sense. Square, Circle, and Triangle are all used for hitting. If you hold one, it's going to think you want a power swing, contact swing, or bunt.

IIRC, you do this when you have a runner at 1st and 3rd as well. If you want to steal 2nd, you hold down circle and hit L1 to take a bigger lead and L2 to take off

I can confirm that this works, BUT you have to be on Classic Baserunning I believe. It's also very weird trying to steal 2B with your batter trying to bunt while holding Triangle.

Edit to add: Now it seems to not work...it's very strange. It works at times, but I just tried it a bunch more and it wasn't working at all.

Well, not really. Right now the issue seems to be stealing on your own is either not possible, or very finnicky.

Is there any way to cut off the auto steal when you have auto baserunning selected? The cpu does not make good decsions lot of times.
