Re: Rise of a New Era: 2k14 Milwaukee Bucks Association

Time to Turn The Page in Milwaukee (Post-Season in Review)
By: Daniel Keegan
June 17th, 2014

As exciting as it was to witness a wonderful finals series played out by Indiana and San Antonio, Milwaukee fans shouldn't be too pleased. The series was intense going back and forth until the final game was decided on the Pacers home court. Paul George won finals MVP respectively averaging 27 points 6 rebounds and 4 assists. This NBA season was a long one with many breathtaking moments. Most notably Carmelo's 62, LeBron's 61 and Kevin Durant's red hot season (winning MVP and Scoring Champion.) However for Milwaukee fans everywhere this season was one of the worst seasons in team history. The Bucks ended the season 17-65 leading the entire league in losses. However during the course of the season their were a few bright spots. Rookies Giannis Antetokounmpo (The Greak Freak) and Nate Wolters received an increase in minutes due to injuries, and the poor play of O.J Mayo. The two rookies took advantage of the extra minutes earning a spot on the All-Rookie 1st team. Owner Herb Kohl was very pleased with the rookies performances stating that "They came in and worked hard, that's all we as a franchise could ask for." Also he jokingly stated that "Giannis' english had improved." It's apparent that these two young guys along with John Henson (who had a quiet but productive season) may very well be the future of this Milwaukee team. It doesn't seem like Larry Drew will be returning next season after a disastrous display of coaching, and bonding with his players. Rumor around the league has it that Ersan Illyosova as well as Larry Sanders could be on their way out this offseason. Several sources have confirmed that despite his injury the Bucks have Joel Embiid as their first option come later this month in the draft. As we say goodbye to great players such as Andre Miller, Steve Nash, Matt Bonner, and Derek Fisher who all retired this season we can only hope that the Milwaukee Bucks turn it around.

Bucks Taking turn for the Better
By: Daniel Keegan
June 20th 2014

Seems as if the Bucks are taking a step in the right direction firing Larry Drew, this looks to be a promising offseason
