Ankle Breakers

Ive not had the game for a long time, but am a experienced NBA 2k player. In past years ive absolutely dominated the Cpu, this year for some reason the CPU gives me much more trouble, mainly because I have a hard time getting by defenders in one vs. one situations.

Ive tried to get better at the dribble moves but doesnt seem to get me where i need to be. I use turbo a lot while dribbling and numerous crossovers, sometimes it works and some it doesnt. Are there any good "go-to" dribble moves that i can use as a best move, and then build on that? or something that i am doing wrong? How exactly do i pull of an ankle breaker?

Re: Ankle Breakers

I had this problem too when I first started playing it. I've been playing 2k since 2k6, so I know the game.

You have to have an elite dribbler if you want to cross someone up. It won't work with an average dribbler.

Don't force yourself to attack an angle that isn't there with a predetermined move. Do some sizeup moves, see what angle the defense gives you, and attack that. And it's always good to attack the defender on a fastbreak rather than when a team is in their set defense.
