Casual Fan Question

Hello guys. My passion for baseball has died down over the years drastically but I'm looking to possibly try to re-spark that. I was thinking of buying the show since I heard good things about it. Haven't played a baseball since the great MVP baseball 2005. My question is should I get MLB the show 12 for really cheap ($6) or MLB 13 for around $15-20. Is there a significant difference from 13 and 12?

Thanks.

Yes there is a significant difference.

One thing different is MLB13 has a Beginner mode that helps you adapt to the game. It also has MLB Live where you can play the actual games on the schedule with the real lineups as there were IRL as well as a better Diamond Dynasty mode where you can create your own team and player and compete against others.

Not to mention the MLB12 servers are dead so you cant play online or access any of the online features like player or roster vaults or play DD at all.

Thats why MLB12 is only $6

Re: Casual Fan Question

Just to add on a another quick question,

Can I edit the amount of games in a season (to make the seasons shorter) and the amount of innings in a game in franchise mode (or w.e it's called)?

As far as I know, both of those things are editable, yes.

Re: Casual Fan Question

Oh okay thanks guys for the quick responses. It's just there is a lot of games in a season so I wouldn't plan on playing all of them. Hopefully simulation of games doesn't take forever. (That was a killer for me in NHL 13, the season was so long and simulating just a single week took FOREVER.)

Re: Casual Fan Question

No. Simming games takes just a matter of seconds.
What you could do is play the last game of every series and sim the other 2.
That would keep the entire season, but cut the playing time down to just about 54 games.
